R&D Hub
At the core of TRIPLOSOME lies our Polyploid Cannabis Innovation Hub, a dedicated platform focused on research and innovation in cannabis biotechnology.
From this hub, we develop advanced breeding programs designed to optimize new cannabis and hemp genetics, with a strong emphasis on polyploidy and triploidy as key technologies for the next generation of cultivars.
We collaborate with leading cannabis technology, genomics, and biotech companies to apply cutting-edge scientific tools to genetic development, validation, and performance optimization.
TRIPLOSOME continuously analyzes and integrates the most advanced polyploid research being developed by a limited number of specialized players worldwide, positioning our platform at the forefront of polyploid cannabis innovation.
What is a Triploid?
Triploid cannabis plants carry three sets of chromosomes (3n) rather than the conventional two (2n). This results in highly consistent vegetative growth, stable plant architecture, and strong biomass and flower production.
The triploid condition confers functional sterility. Triploid plants are unable to complete normal meiosis, preventing the formation of viable pollen or seeds.

Tetraploid
(Parent)
Diploid (2n) × Tetraploid (4n) = Triploid (3n)
Triploid Breeding Process
High-tech breeding technologies combine elite phenotype selection with advanced polyploidy techniques
Sour Bremix 3n
Crossing Sour Punch inbred line (2n) with Bremix inbred line (4n) to produce feminized triploid seeds with enhanced terpene content and plant structure.
Ultra Pink CBD 3n
Crossing Ultra Pink (2n) with Ultra Pink inbred line (4n) to produce feminized triploid F1 hybrid with purple pigmentation and high CBD content.
3n Verification
Every batch undergoes rigorous flow cytometry analysis to confirm ploidy levels. Our laboratory partners provide certified reports ensuring each seed carries the verified 3n chromosome count.
- Independent lab verification (Quantum Analysis)
- Batch-level traceability and documentation
- Certificate of Analysis (COA) available upon request
Agronomic Advantages
Why professional cultivators choose triploid genetics
Seedless Production
No seed formation even under pollen exposure. Ensures clean, seed-free flowers and eliminates pollination risk.
Crop Uniformity
Greater uniformity in structure, flowering behavior, and final product quality across all plants.
Enhanced Yield
Resources redirected from reproduction to flower development. Increased biomass and flower density.
Consistent Cannabinoids
Improved cannabinoid expression consistency and overall harvest reliability across batches.
Non-GMO Process
Produced through controlled breeding methods long established in conventional agriculture. No genetic modification.
Extraction Optimized
High trichome density ideal for dry sift, static tech, fresh frozen rosin, and BHO production.
